Happy Birthday America!

What a wet Independence Day weekend! So much so that fireworks were cancelled on the 4th and 5th. Luckily, we got to see some on the 1st at the Yankee Doodle Pops concert. I absolutely love fireworks! The bigger the boom the better. I love when you can totally feel the fireworks deep in your chest! We watched from the top of a parking ramp. This was our 2nd year in this spot and it has great views.

Even though the rainy weather cancelled our fireworks plan for tonight, it did allow Matt to come home early from work and spend some time with me. And he was even able to catch a few dry minutes tonight to make burgers. It was his "perfect 5th of July meal".

Mushroom swiss burger, cherry tomatoes from our garden, busch's baked beans & a Miller Lite (or two.)
